Right now, the engineering job market is pretty active all around, whether you're looking for a chemical, mechanical, electrical or other engineering position, there are jobs out there. There seems to be a particularly high demand for maintenance and electrical engineers, especially those with a chemical industry background. I have seen an increase in chemical engineering positions so if you're a ChemE out there looking, please send me your resume. As always, the more open you can be on relocation and salary, the better. More and more companies seem to be looking nationally and offering relocation packages which should allow more and more engineers to open up their search geography.
If you are looking for a job, the thing that makes it easiest for me on this end is if you email me your resume along with a couple of jobs that you're interested in from the "Active Jobs" section of this website. I always try as best I can to get back to people in a timely manner, but if you don't hear from me within a couple of days, please send me a quick reminder email. I'll keep posting updates here on how I perceive the job market, so come back to this page periodically.

Our firm and I work in the $50K-$150K range with engineering job listings for continuous/batch specialty chemicals engineers, sales engineers, plant managers, project engineers, research engineers, electrical engineers, maintenance/reliability engineers, controls engineers and process engineers.
